Mark Williams was a part of the original group of families that began Redeemer Presbyterian Church. Mark trusted Christ after graduation from high school prior to attending the University of Alabama. Upon graduation, he spent two years on staff with Campus Crusade in Atlanta, Georgia. It was during this time that he married his wife, Becky, also a graduate of the U of A. While in Atlanta, Mark and Becky joined Perimeter Presbyterian Church and were involved with the youth ministry. After two years, they moved to Birmingham, Alabama and they transferred their church membership to Briarwood Presbyterian Church, where Mark served as a Deacon. After moving to the Shoals, the Williams family became involved in the effort to start a PCA church in Florence that became Redeemer. Mark was elected as one of the 4 original elders and he still serves in that capacity today. Mark and Becky are the parents of Thomas (wife, Mary Ellen), Lee, Caroline and Emma.
